In the midst of all the fashion weeks, there is one day that shines like a golden star and that is the Sunday of the Academy Awards.
This year, the 84th Annual Academy Awards (or Oscars as they’re often called) will take place on Sunday February 26th, 2012 and this is one fashion show we simply can’t miss. We’ll be glued to the TV like many other fashionistas checking out just what everyone is wearing…but until we see what they have decided on, we thought we’d give our opinion on who and what we think they’d look great in.

The World is a Runway Show: London Fashion Week A/W 2012

These weeks four of the most important fashion centers, New York, London, Milan and Paris, become a huge catwalk. We get a chance to see designers' art come to life during fashion week. Although this is not a typical "city" post, we are taking you to London and sharing with you our favorite designers' collection for the Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 season.
We're excited about London's fashion week because it has a very funky and energetic vibe. We have seen so many collections and shows that we loved. And in our opinion, having a variety of styles to draw from allows us all to be creative in our own clothes...which we feel is important. Originality and interpretation of fashion is such a great way to exude your personality so our advice is to take in all that you see, the trends that you like and create a style that is unique to you as a person. Remember, you wear the clothes...the clothes don't wear you!
We saw this way of thinking so clearly in the stylish women attending the shows...all rocking a trend or two, but each of these ladies doing it in their own personal way...that is true style. Never follow a trend blindly, always make it your own. May we introduce you to: Stephane Rolland

This talented designer was brought up in the South of France, Argentina and the West Indies...but it wasn't until he landed in Paris that he found his fashion home and began his studies at the prestigious Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne.
It's of no surprise to us that Stephane Rolland quickly became the king of Haute Couture...since as you all know, we think Paris is a a truly inspiring place. He went on to work as the creative director of the menswear and international license branch of Balenciaga at the young age of 21.

Romance & Flowers for Valentine’s Day

Oh, yes…love is most definitely in the air. That mischievous little cupid is flying around shooting his arrow at lovers and create butterflies in the stomach of all us girls.

We simply love Valentine’s Day…it is a day filled with chocolates, romantic dinners, champagne and of course, flowers…but this year, we think we should change things up a bit. You’ll be the one bringing the flowers with this season’s most romantic floral prints. Whether your Prince Charming is taking you out to the the theater or to his dining room (where hopefully he has cooked for you a delicious dinner), we think these dresses will keep you looking like his most favorite Valentine ever.

New York fashion week...it's the time of the year when all eyes are on the Big Apple as we eagerly await to see what trends and styles are in store for all of us. Every major designer was there to display their thoughts and vision for Autumn/Winter 2012-2013, but we think that one of its stars was the ever chic Victoria Beckham.

There is always a show in time that dictates how fashion will be perceived…for many of us, the first show that came around and did that was “Sex and the City”…then when Patricia Field’s magic was no longer seen on our screens…we all had a bit of a dry spell when it came to high-end, out of the box, push the boundaries style…until “Gossip Girl” came along.

The mastermind behind this amazing fashion is Eric Daman, who through his genius mind was able to make “S” and “B” into the two fashion icons that they are today. They are completely different characters in both personality and style and we give major Kudos to Mr. Daman for creating them so uniquely.
