Believe it or not, one of the most visited cities in the United States is its beautiful capital of Washington, DC. Approximately 15 million people a year come to see the historical sights that make up the foundation of the USA. It’s a city filled with intellectuals, international and the classically fashionable.

Once in a while, we’ll be bringing you our “May we introduce you to:” posts and shed some attention to a designer or a fashion icon that we feel deserves to be appreciated…our first post goes to the very talented and ridiculously fabulous Prabal Gurung.

Believe it or not, this gem of a designer has been around in the American fashion world for over 5 years yet it wasn’t until lately that his name and his fashions became more mainstream.

Another name for paradise??? The Maldives, of course!

Alright Ladies...it's the middle of winter and honestly, we're ready for a little break...how about packing a bag and heading to our version of paradise...the Maldives. The country is made up of 1,190 coral islands formed around 26 natural ring-like atolls...spread over 90,000 square kilometers...it's our little slice of heaven.

We couldn't think of a better place to escape the winter and its gray skies than in this country of silky white sand beaches, warm turquoise waters, exotic colorful flowers, beautiful coral reefs, shallow lagoons and stunning palms...oh and did we mention the enchanting sun?

Well, aren’t you Blue-tiful!

Well, we don’t know about you, Ladies…but we’re feeling a little blue and frankly, we couldn’t be happier.
The fashion world has finally noticed black’s lighter cousin: blue. We’ve seen designers incorporate bright, bold, beautiful blues into almost all their items. And with colors like these, there is nothing sad about being blue.
Here are some of the items that stood out to us. Most are for upcoming resort collections, but hey…it never hurts to plan ahead, right?

An African Adventure

We have taken you to many modern cities around the world and this time we're traveling to a place a little more exotic and a lot more "real". We're heading to the glorious continent of Africa and taking you to Kenya. We fell in love with this country immediately. This is a place where nature has the stage. There are vast savannas, exotic trees, the bluest of oceans and the most incredible of skies. The beaches here are untouched and decorated with greenery and animals. It is easy to see where the locals draw their inspiration from...colour and beauty is everywhere in Kenya, and the artworks the locals sell represent it very well. They use wood, shells and pearls to create a truly unique gift.

It’s bright, it’s shiny & full of beautiful people…it can only be L.A!

Well, Ladies, it’s a new year and we couldn’t think of a better city to start our 2012 postings than in Los Angeles, California. LA is a city that contains most of American’s entertainment history. It’s the place where everyone (and we mean everyone) is an actor and a place where dreams can come true. One day you could be a waiter in a greasy diner and the next week, you could be cast in the newest movie by Steven Spielberg…yes, that’s LA (specifically Hollywood) for you.
And in quoting Madonna’s song: “everybody comes to Hollywood, they wanna make it in the neighborhood. They like the smell of it in Hollywood, how could it hurt you when it looks so good”

Everyone is always looking forward to the summer months..where one can be out in the sun and feel the warmth...but we must remember that winter actually provides us with all that and so much more. The beauty of winter is like no other seasons...the snow flakes, the beautiful fir trees covered with fresh sparkling snow, the gorgeous icicles glistening in the background and the purest blue winter sky are just some of the things we love about winter. Winter is a great time to get to the mountains and for us, there is no better way to spend your winter holidays than visiting a ski resort with family and friends.
