Las Bellas Fashion: Gossip Girl style with Eric Daman

IMG_1357
When we worked on a post for Las Bellas about Gossip Girl style a couple of months back, I never would have guessed that I would have the chance to meet the man behind the incomparable Serena and Blair…but as fashion fate would have it, I was invited to attend the Swarovski Style challenge with Eric Daman himself.
The event was held in honor of the launch of his much anticipated reality based show called The Daman Chronicles which can be viewed on the Cambio website. The style challenged part of the evening stated that we should dress as our favorite Gossip Girl character…and of course, I had to go with Blair. She is sophisticated, classic and very feminine. I love her style and the outfits she gets to wear on the show leave me green with envy. I wanted to come close to her style but also true to mine so here is my best “Blair” outfit. I wore:
BCBG Galine Lace cocktail dress: I love this style of dress. I wore a similar dress (also from BCBG) here in white. For me, this flared styling makes a dress so sweet and feminine…I could definitely see Blair in this!
BEBE Black patent wide belt: I wanted to cinch in the waist even more so I added this wide belt. Also nice retro feel to it.
Christian Louboutin Miss Boxe in Red: Okay, so you guys must know by now that I have a problem with Louboutins…I am totally obsessed. I have these shoes in black (see here) and in red. I thought wearing the red shoes would added an unexpected color pop to my classic look.
Target headband: No Blair outfit would be complete without some sort of girly accessory. She loves them! I opted for a traditional Blair headband with some bling (who doesn’t love bling?). This was purchased at Target about a year ago for about $12.00…not to bad for that much sparkle ;)
Vintage Crystal necklace: I bought this necklace at the Lincoln Road Flea Market five years ago…and I wore it on my wedding day. It was my “something old”. I love it’s simplicity and it’s length. Timeless.
Vintage Ring: Another purchase from the flea market. This one is a Chanel flower with a small diamond in the center.
Miami Heat 2006 Championship Ring: I worked for Randy Pfund for many years while he was the General Manager of the Miami Heat and one the best highlights for me was being able to share in the 2006 Championship year…and I also got a ring! I don’t wear it often (it makes me feel like Mr. T) but I thought since last night’s game was so important…adding a “good luck” charm to the outfit couldn’t hurt….and they won! Just saying ;)
*I am not mentioning the bag because I really just needed a bag big enough to hold my large camera and lens…so it’s not really part of my Blair outfit, more like a necessity*IMG_1108IMG_1101IMG_1102IMG_1105IMG_1110IMG_1111IMG_1112IMG_1113IMG_1115IMG_1117IMG_1120IMG_1137
Okay, now onto the event…I know, this is totally a long post…but it’s fabulous, I swear ;) The event was held at the glamorous Swarovski store on Lincoln Road and it was attended by fashionistas and bloggers alike. I loved seeing everyone wearing their best Gossip Girl looks. Here are some pictures from the event. I have included a couple of bloggers in this post, so please check out their sites by clicking on their names.

The beautiful Ria Michelle (left) was the hostess of the evening and she did an amazing job. She looked abolsutely fabulous in her flower bubble skirt and yellow top. Then we have the insanely talented Angeles Almuna (right). She always looks so effortless chic. I loved her Gossip Girl inspired flower pins…true Almuna style with Eric Daman flare.

The beautiful Kristin Clark was rocking her Betsy Moss jacket that she purchased at the last Miami Fashion Bloggers’ event. She looked amazing, fresh and definitely Serena-ish!IMG_1161IMG_1163IMG_1192IMG_1204
Ria Michelle and I (as well as some others) got styled by Eric Daman…he showed off this season’s hottest accessories and gave great tips on how to rock them. It’s all about layering done right, Ladies. All of this was shown via livestream and if you’d like to see the event, then click here…I can be seen around the 8:00 minute mark and the 37:00 minute mark. ;)IMG_1198IMG_1205IMG_1213IMG_1214IMG_1376
Eric mentioned that he liked my rings...apparently layering your rings is totally on trend...so definitely bonus point for me ;)
Swarovski recently launched their sunglasses and I have to say…they are so chic! First picture is me "modeling" the sunglasses, the other picture is me how I normally look when trying to pose ;)

Kelly Saks and I were both working the Blair look…we were all about bringing headbands back in a big way! She looked so amazing in her Zara outfit…and she won the night’s contest as “Best dressed”…congrats, Kelly! You make a fab Blair!!

Well, that’s it…you see, it wasn’t that long of a post, was it??? Hope you enjoyed my look, recap and thoughts about this fabulous event. I am loving all these amazing fashion happenings going on in my city…Miami is really making waves when it comes to the fashion and blogging world. I so happy to be a part of it and be able to share it with my friends! Thank you to my dear friend Linda for coming out with me…and for taking my pictures…even if it meant shooting the pictures in an alley by a trashcan ;)
See you around...

XOXO,
