Every time being in London I love to visit beautiful Victoria and Albert museum, which always has amazing exhibitions. This summer museum celebrates British design and creativity from 1948 to the present day with a series of major exhibitions. The museum hosted ballgowns which were worn by the most beautiful ladies and powerful women like Audrey Hepburn, Diane Princess of Wales, Beyonce, Bianca Jagger, Elizabeth Hurley, Sandra Bulloc and many others. England celebrates glamour of ball gowns in the most proper way. It was a real pleasure seeing in one place the most amazing ballgowns in the world from the 1950 until this day and each of them in the history had special premier, red carpet and a lady who was wearing it. All dresses are designed by the most prestigious British designers such as: Alexander McQueena, Vivienne Westwood, Worth and many others which you will see later on in the text. Each of those designers showed their own vision of form and glamour. My dear ladies, I have chosen to show you some of the most beautiful dresses and under every photo I will give you some information about each of them. We will start with vintage dresses which have special value and then we will continue with modern ones, designed by the most wanted and prestigious British designers.
This dress is from the year 1960 designed by great Charles Frederick Worth, who was “father” of haute couture. It’s made of silk satin and gold thread. Worn and given by Mrs Roy Hudson.
I appreciate and love Worth’s work, so I had to show you also this dress which is made of satin with sequins and crystal beading in 1955. Given by Mrs Roy Hudson. I hope that fashion house Worth, which couple of years ago brought back young designer Giovanni Bedin, will be again one of the leading fashion houses of haute couture.

A sada drage dame slede noviji modeli balskih haljina trenutno najaktivnih i najtrazenijih britanskih dizajnera. And now my dear ladies take a look at the ballgowns designed by the British most famous designers.
The dress that comes from the fashion house Marchesa is from the collection 2012 and it’s made of tulle.
This fabulous dress is designed by Jenny Packham, who is a favourite designer of many celebrities. The dress is from the collection Spring/Summer 2011, made of silk tulle and crystals. Sandra Bullock wore it to the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards. I noticed this dress while ago in TV show “Gossip Girl” (until now you probably noticed my obsession with fashion from that series). The dress is lent by designer to the Museum.
I was especially feeling glad to see the dress of Serbian designer Roksanda Ilincic who is successfully working for a long time here in London. Her dress was worn by princess Kate and the first lady Michelle Obama. As I remember this dress is from collection 2009, very interesting and beautiful.
On the left side is dress from Ralph & Russo, which was worn by Beyonce, in the middle is the one designed by Marios Schwab and on the right Antionio Berardi dress.
From the left to the right you can see dresses from young designers Mary Katranzou and Erdem.
The left dress is desgined by Victor Edelstein, in the middle is the one design by Bruce Oldfield specially for Bianca Jagger and on the end we see a fabulous dress from Murray Arbeid which was wearing princess Diana.

Unil next time,
XOXO,
