Madrid Style!

01Madrid is one of the most amazing cities in Europe. It generates so many good things in one place :art, beautiful architecture, fun night life, great restaurants and nice shopping. The most magnificent place is The Buen Retiro Park with a small lake where you can rent boats and drive them with your loved one or just enjoy the beautiful sculptures, monuments and galleries. The park belonged to the Spanish Monarchy until late 19th century.Today it’s a public place that hosts various events.

The Palacio Real de Madrid (The Royal Palace of Madrid) is very impressive with its fabulous baroque and classicism architecture. It is the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family in the city of Madrid, but it’s only used for state ceremonies. King Juan Carlos and the Royal Family normally reside in the Palacio de la Zarzuela.

IMG_0568The place that hypnotise you with its beauty is in one of the greatest museums of art...The Museo del Prado. It has one of the world's finest collections of European art, from the 12th up to the early 19th century. Attention is based on collections of my favourite Velázquez, El Greco, Zurbarán, Francisco de Goya, Titian, Rubens and Bosch.

Along almost every step of the way, you can come across amazing fountains.

To experience Madrid you have to walk a lot…especially if you are in to shopping. Here is what I chose to wear: Zara blazer (I love new collection from Zara, very refreshing with pastel colors), Forever New dress (very light and comfortable in beige color), Forever New necklace (I always like to add some accessorize, especially with this simple outfit), Oakley sunglasses (as you noticed they are my favourite and have them in all colors), Edox watch, Daniele Cicatelli flat leather boots (perfect for long walks) and cross body white leather bag, which I bought in Italy, but doesn't’ have any label.

I always like to find small domestic brands and this time the winners in my book were two Spanish boutiques : chic and stylish BDBA and Hoss Intropia with more classic styling. BDBA offers woman’s clothing, jewellery and accessories. You can find very nice pieces for upcoming summer's look. They carried wonderful colored gem jewellery, embellished blazers and vest, silk pants and maxi dresses...all of which captured the colorful glamour of the Côte d'Azur. BDBA shops you can find only in Spain, but they have online sales as well.IMG_0696IMG_0698IMG_0700IMG_0701IMG_0703IMG_0705IMG_0706
Here are some photos from BDBA’s new collection:
