Ladies, there is one word that I find absolutely synonymous with class and sophistication…and that word is of course, Chanel! This brand, started by the iconic Coco Chanel. She was a woman with her own rules and ideas of what was feminine..and that included wearing and designing men inspired clothing.
I think that one of the most important designs that Miss Chanel created was the tweed jacket.
You’ve all seen it. It’s been seen on the shoulders of celebrities from all over the world. And with a price tag of over $3,000 for the “basic” one, it’s certain to be a luxury item that is coveted by many but afforded by few. And honestly, I am no exception. It’s a price point so high that the closest I've come to owning one was trying one on at the Chanel boutique.
But…not to worry, Ladies…I have found us all a fabulous chic solution to this Chanel envy. Yes, it’s wonderful to own a Chanel jacket but when you really break it down, the thing we all really love is the look.
