This time H&M's guest designer is Japan Vogue's fashion director and personal fashion goddess Anna Dello Russo. It is the first time that a company is taking a fashion director from a magazine to design. She is well known for her extravagant style, so this will be a real refreshment for H&M. There is so much to love about her unique and edgy style so there is no doubt that she will be designing "one of a kind" looks.She worked closely with H&M creative advisor Margareta van den Bosch on the range of accessorise that include sunglasses, shoes and bags. It will hit the H&M stores in October.
Here is what she had to say about her collaboration with H&M: “This is the first time H&M involves a fashion director in a special project. This is the sign of an important evolution in fashion, and I am both thrilled and humbled to be the one chosen to lead it.” The jewelry which she claims will have an "impossible to find" feel will feature gold colored metals, turquoise colored stones, black accented cuffs, over sized earrings and necklaces that will use the shape of snakes and lizards. Well, for me...this definitely sounds like we're talking about Anna's style. H&M creative advisor Margareta van den Bosch said:
“Anna has a fantastic eye and a strong taste, apart from being a veritable fashion icon. She produced an extravagant range of accessories that will get H&M customers and everyone in love with fashion excited. The collection is a celebration of excess, fantasy and decoration.”
“I wanted to create precious accessories that are impossible to find. As a stylist I know accessorize is essential, it is the personal touch to any outfit. With these pieces everybody can have fun, turning an ordinary day into a fantastic fashion day.” Anna said.I can not agree more, even we if decide to wear a simple outfit, accessorize is something that you can always use to mix things up.
