London Calling…can you hear it?

Welcome to magical London...where being proper, classy and sophisticate is a way of life. And that with that accent, even their swear words sound chic. You will be hard pressed to find a city that is able to balance the importance of tradition and embrace the fast changing modern world better than London.

The Brits use words like “please” and “thank you” so much that you’ll be wondering if maybe a course of good manners wouldn’t do you some good. Here, politeness is very much appreciated as is tolerance and patience…which we all know is a rarity in this crazy world. London is a city that offers something for everyone. Here there are so many wonderful museums, art galleries, historical sights and delicious restaurants. London is as diverse as the people that live here. Soak in their historical sights like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London. Take a walk into some of the world’s most important art galleries…representing timeless classics and emerging raw talent. Enjoy looking around and seeing the authentic vintage taxi cabs, the red telephone boots and the iconic British buses.

And the best thing about London is that no matter how many times you’ve been here…you’ll always find something new to see and explore. Art exhibits get changed, new theater productions open up (with some of the biggest actors taking part in British masterpieces) and new lounges to keep adding to the spice of the night.

And yes, even though the traffic of the city is madness, you still are able to find a calm energy here. Perhaps it’s the lovely parks, the small lakes, the green trees or right now, the Christmas lights…whatever it is, it’s special and exclusively London’s. Even through the infamous rainy days, London still manages to shine like a star. It’s a city full of history, tradition, elegance all wrapped up with a little edgy punkish wrapping paper.

The ultra luxurious store Harrod’s is a wonderful example of this mix. A store catering to those looking for the finest things…yet it’s window displays are anything but ordinary. Check out our favorite window displays from Harrod’s:

In our opinion, London, apart from New York, is the best city for shopping. It provides a huge choice of brands, designers, styles, tastes and price point. Because London has such a vast mix of cultures and religions, their fashion is very urban and totally authentic. London girls are pretty fearless, they wear what they want and they’re not afraid of a little edge…and we love them for it. London style is about being true, walking to your own beats and having fun. Here are some sights from the streets of London:

Heavy metal may not be our favorite style of music, but we have nothing against a little metal on our bags. In London, everything has a little bit of rock and roll…bags have chunky hardware and chains are a big hit. We love these shoulder and cross body bags. They’ll take any outfit and add some “kick” to it.

Next, immediately earn some street credit with these major “out of the box” shoe styles. We’re loving the fringe…can look very chic and elegant but never stale. Also, we really respect that these designers are having fun creating these looks…and if they’re having fun, why not you? Try these styles on and make the London “look” yours.

In England, a proper lady would normally wear a dress…but they never said it had to be boring…

We love these dress options, they’re all different, young and totally unique. Whether you’re opting for ruffles, fringe, color blocks or beading, these dresses will keep you looking like the belle of ball…or at least the belle of Chinawhite.

Tank it up with some simple shirts that will keep you looking anything but ordinary. These tops will look great with jeans and leggings (see below). We love their bling, their sparkle and the way they make us feel…fun!fun!fun! Next we have some cardigans that will add some warmth yet keep you looking cool.

Leggings are a great option for London…be adventurous with these styles. You can dress them up or down…but whatever you do, dress them with a little bit of rock and roll.

One thing you must pack before heading to London is a leather jacket. Here, leather (or faux leather) jackets are a staple piece for any wardrobe. We love that these jackets are so different from each other yet the finish look is the same…very, very cool.

What would a London post be without a trench coat or two (or 12!).

The trench coat is to London like sun is to Miami and like croissants are to Paris…they go perfectly together. We love a tailored trench coat. It polishes off your look and keeps you looking chic without even trying.

Lastly, your look should always include at least one piece of fun jewelry. Don’t be afraid to mix metals and colors…being matchy matchy is not allowing yourself to truly try something new…so take those a look at our options below and get inspired to try something new on next time you head to London town.
